Este buque de 13.278 TEUs es el primero de una serie de seis naves gemelas que se incorporar\u00e1n a la naviera alemana en los pr\u00f3ximos diez meses, inform\u00f3&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/public.alphaliner.com\/?utm_source=mundomaritimo&amp;utm_medium=mention&amp;utm_campaign=2019\">Alphaliner<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las seis unidades fueron encargadas originalmente por Capital Ship Management de Grecia. Hapag-Lloyd cerr\u00f3 entonces un acuerdo por el cual adquiri\u00f3 tres de los buques a\u00fan no entregados, y se comprometi\u00f3 a fletar los otros tres bajo contratos a largo plazo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Capital hab\u00eda pedido originalmente los buques a finales de 2020. De acuerdo con&nbsp;<em>Alphaliner&nbsp;<\/em>el costo unitario de US$103 millones fue una ganga, en comparaci\u00f3n con los precios inflados de la construcci\u00f3n de nuevos buques, que hacen que los astilleros pidan m\u00e1s de US$150 millones por un buque de capacidad comparable de alta resistencia. Hapag-Lloyd habr\u00eda pagado US$111 millones por cada uno de los buques. Si esto es cierto, la naviera tambi\u00e9n ha conseguido bajos precios para esta capacidad de alta especificaci\u00f3n con entrega temprana.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El \u201cRio de Janeiro Express\u201d tiene 335,00 m eslora y 51,00 m de manga. El buque es propulsado por un motor principal WinGD7X92-B y viene equipado con 2.220 conexiones refrigeradas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los seis buques frigor\u00edficos de HSHI de Hapag-Lloyd forman parte de un programa de construcci\u00f3n de diez buques de alto poder de refrigeraci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n incluye cuatro unidades de tama\u00f1o similar del astillero chino New Century Shipyard. Este cuarteto comprende dos buques propios y dos que ser\u00e1n fletados al armador griego Chartworld. Sin embargo, los buques gemelos de Hapag-Lloyd que se construir\u00e1n en China no llegar\u00e1n hasta el segundo semestre de 2023 y en 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con la entrega del \u201cRio de Janeiro Express\u201d, Hapag-Lloyd ha recibido su primer portacontenedores de nueva construcci\u00f3n desde septiembre de 2017, cuando HSHI entreg\u00f3 el \u201cAl Jmeliyah\u201d de 14.993 TEUs.\u00a0 Este buque fue ordenado originalmente por UASC, pero entregado a Hapag-Lloyd tras la fusi\u00f3n de las compa\u00f1\u00edas en mayo de 2017.
